Jim Locatelli, President
A certified public accountant and an entrepreneur himself,
Jim Locatelli took his considerable experience in the marketing communications field and opened up his own distinctive boutique of financial management and accounting services.
One of Jim's greatest rewards is making a visible and positive impact on his clients' financial success.
Prior to opening Locatelli and Company, Jim served as the CFO, executive vice president and shareholder of a large
Milwaukee-based advertising agency. In fact, he currently serves as the part-time CFO for several local marketing communication firms that rely on his expertise.
Jim is experienced in a variety of accounting and business management capacities, including financial analysis; income forecasting and budget control; tax reporting; succession planning; mergers and acquisitions; cost accounting, contract negotiation and execution; and employer retirement planning.
He also throws one heck of an after-tax party!
Jim obtained his CPA certification, and was accepted into membership of the American and Wisconsin Institutes of Public Accountants in 1979. Originally from Green Bay (and yes, a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan), he received his bachelor's degree in accounting from UW-Milwaukee, and a bachelor's degree in management from UW-Oshkosh.
Jim has worked with the American Association of Advertising Agencies Fiscal Control committee, where he served as chairman. He is currently a Board Member of the Creative Alliance Milwaukee and the Eisner Creative Foundation.
Shari Harenda, CPA
Shari brings a wealth of expertise in real estate and nonprofits to Locatelli and Company.
Prior to joining Locatelli and Company in 2005, Shari served as a key member of the professional staff at Villani and Becker S.C., where she provided complete audit, review and compilation engagements, and prepared tax returns for businesses, exempt organizations and individuals.
Having also worked at Friduss, Lukee, Schiff & Co, P.C. in Chicago, Shari was responsible for audit engagements and developing client relationships with a real estate focus.
Shari also served as Controller for the Community Development Corporation of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, a real estate development, general contracting and property management company, where she handled all accounting functions.
Clients love Shari because she makes the accounting process as painless as possible for them.
Shari earned her BS in Business with an accounting concentration from UW-Parkside in Kenosha. She is a member of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Tina Scudder, CPA
Tina joined Locatelli and Company as a certified public accountant in 2006. She began her accounting career working for a large Milwaukee-based accounting firm. While there, she was part of an audit team that specialized in government, non-profit and banking entities.
Since then, Tina has diversified her skills by handling real estate and personal investment accounting for a prominent local attorney. She was also responsible for the in-house accounting of a popular restaurant and art gallery. Her interest and expertise in small business accounting was invaluable during her 12-year tenure at Michael J. Moczynski, C.P.A., S.C.
Tina's personable nature is demonstrated daily. While preparing and assessing clients' personal and business tax returns, she keeps client needs and concerns as her top priority. She says she's inspired every day at L&C because she never knows what type of project a client will ask her to tackle.
Tina earned her BS in Accounting from UW-Milwaukee.
Nancy Prom
Nancy is the newest member of Locatelli and Company, having joined the firm in January 2009. With her extensive background in the marketing communication field, she fits in beautifully.
Nancy's experience covers working for a number of Milwaukee's well-known advertising agencies. Her previous experience includes positions at KVPD, McDonald, Davis & Associates, Ken Schmidt Company, Nelson Schmidt Company and Prom Krog Altstiel
Her current responsibilities cover a broad range of services, including accounts receivable, payables, payroll, and general bookkeeping duties. She provides services to a dedicated list of clients, and offers bookkeeping support to the complete Locatelli client roster as needed.
